Grace Lutheran Church, a family friendly church, is located in the quaint little town of Deadwood, South Dakota. Our congregation is centered in Christ’s Word and takes pride in our welcoming setting. We are committed to teaching God’s Word while embracing the joy of living in the Christian faith. Whether you are a longtime resident, new to the area or simply visiting our wonderful town of Deadwood, we welcome your presence!

Grace Lutheran Church is conveniently located at 827 Main Street, Deadwood SD.
What to expect. Imagine yourself walking into a beautifully wooded architectural building filled with the ambience of Christ’s love. You will be greeted by a congregation member beaming with a smile while offering a warm handshake. You will be given a bulletin of the day’s service. As you enter the aisle to a pew, other congregation members will welcome you to the Lord’s House and bless you with more smiles and welcoming words. You will hear the sounds of laughter, music and soft conversations from God’s children awaiting the service to begin. Soon you will see Pastor Robert Hinckley walk down the aisle towards the Altar. He may make a few announcements, and the service will start with the opening hymn.
Follow the bulletin through opening prayers, confession & absolution, the introit, prayers and readings of the Bible. This will lead to the sermon of the day providing inspiring Bible verses and guiding you to developing a relationship with the Triune God, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. After the sermon, we engage in more prayers, the offering, the Lord’s Prayer, benediction and a closing hymn. Pastor Hinckley will meet you at the narthex to offer a warm handshake and a thank you for coming. Often, snacks and coffee are offered in the fellowship hall where you can meet our wonderful members of Grace Lutheran Church.
Upon your exit, don’t forget to sign the guest book found by the entryway of the stairs.
